The Diamondbacks are attempting to get back at the Padres at Petco Park after a 5-3 loss to the visiting team. However, for Arizona, there is no way but up. They are now three wins away from the Colorado Rockies in the division.

The Padres went 0-3 against the Rockies. The series finished with Colorado winning 3-1, becoming a major hit against San Diego at this stage. Still, with a solid 5-3 opening game win against the Diamondbacks, the Padres found what they were looking for to resume winning again.
Manny Machado remains as lead on the offensive front for San Diego. Machado currently stands with a .306 batting average, 15 home runs, and 51 runs batted in.
The Padres are now looking to get back to more solid winning streaks. For Arizona, the total has gone over in four of their last five games when playing on a Saturday night. As for San Diego, the total has gone over in four of their previous six games.
The Diamondbacks will have to step it up as they face the Padres on their home field again. For Arizona, a 17-35 road record will need to prove sufficient to meet the second-place team in their division. As for the Padres, a 24-20 home record looks better at this stage of the series.
