Spencer Strider

Strider landed on the 15-day IL on June 13 with right elbow inflammation and it was later deemed that he would be shut down for at least four weeks. Although the 27-year-old avoided any structural damage to his elbow, Atlanta made the decision to transfer him to the 60-day IL in order to make room on the 40-man roster for Carlos Carrasco. Strider has only appeared in eight games this season for Atlanta after having the start of his season delayed due to an oblique injury that sidelined him until May 3.

Ronald Acuna Jr.

RF

Acuna missed nearly three weeks of action in May with a left hamstring strain and landed back on the IL one week ago with the same injury. Because the strain is in the same spot, Weiss noted that the club will be more cautious this time around with the star outfielder. With the All-Star break less than four weeks away, Atlanta could choose to hold Acuna out until the second half.

Tyler Kinley

RP

The right-hander fired seven of his 11 pitches for strikes to leave the phantom runner stranded, and Kinley was rewarded for his efforts when Chadwick Tromp walked it off with a single in the bottom of the 11th. Kinley has four wins and seven holds in 24 appearances this season, but his performance has regressed in May as he's posted an 8.22 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 9:2 K:BB over 7.2 innings while serving up all four of the homers he's allowed in 2026.

Sean Murphy

C

The veteran backstop sustained the injury in mid-May and was given an initial recovery timeline of at least eight weeks. Shedding the cast is good progress, but Murphy is still several weeks away from restarting baseball activities, per manager Walt Weiss. Sandy Leon and Chadwick Tromp are currently handling the catching duties for Atlanta since Drake Baldwin (oblique) is also on the shelf.

Kyle Farmer

DH

Farmer went down a little over a month ago with a right forearm strain but has progressed enough to try things out in a game setting. He shouldn't need too many rehab contests before rejoining Atlanta's active roster as a utility infielder.
