Quintana is set to throw long toss Saturday, and he'll end the session with eight throws off the mound. That will lead into his first bullpen session since initially being sidelined with a sprained elbow.

Jeff Criswell

RP

Criswell has put up a 6.87 ERA and 1.82 WHIP in 18.1 innings with the Isotopes, but he's fired two shutout innings with the big club this year. He'll fill the void in Colorado's bullpen left by TJ Shook and figures to work in middle relief.

Blas Castano

RP

Castano will need more than a week to build up as he works his way back from a right pectoral strain, so he doesn't appear to be in line to return from the 15-day injured list until after the All-Star break. Before landing on the shelf June 21, Castano turned in a 3.92 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 17:6 K:BB in 20.2 innings over 10 appearances out of the Colorado bullpen.

Jaden Hill

RP

Hill has progressed quickly in the last few days, with Wednesday marking his return to throwing. The next step in his recovery will be a bullpen session, though it's unclear when he'll be cleared to do so.

Chase Dollander

SP

Although Dollander managed to avoid undergoing a full Tommy John procedure, the operation will still put an early end to his second MLB season. He showed significant improvement in 2026, turning in a 3.89 ERA and 1.30 WHIP alongside a 47:18 K:BB in 44 innings across 10 appearances (three starts). A clearer timeline for his return could emerge as the 2027 campaign approaches.
