The Dodgers replaced Rushing early on in Monday's game to rule out a concussion after he was hit in the head with a foul ball. The Dodgers are already thin at catching depth with Will Smith on the injured list since June 11.

Kendall George

CF

George suffered an injury to his left patellar tendon in late May when he jumped out of the way to avoid Double-A Tulsa's bat-retrieving dog. He did not require surgery but is still about a month away from returning to Tulsa's lineup. George is hitting .333/.417/.397 with 26 stolen bases on the season.

Blake Snell

SP

Snell has yet to throw a proper bullpen session since undergoing a NanoScope procedure May 19 to address loose bodies in his left elbow, but he appears to be on the precipice of doing so now that he's completed a flat-ground throwing progression. The left-hander will remain on the shelf through the All-Star break, but he could have a shot at returning early in the second half of the season if he experiences no setbacks while ramping up his throwing in the coming weeks.

Teoscar Hernandez

LF

The veteran slugger has been participating in live batting practice over the past few days, which could be the final hurdle before being cleared for minor-league action. Hernandez expected to be sidelined for about a month after sustaining a Grade 1 hamstring strain in late May, and he appears to be on track with that initial timeline.

Kyle Tucker

RF

Tucker was pulled from Monday's contest due to lower-back spasms, and although the Dodgers are still optimistic he won't require a stint on the injured list, it sounds like his next opportunity to join the starting nine will come Friday in San Diego. Alex Call is set to start in right field Tuesday and will likely continue to do so until Tucker is cleared to return.
