Jakob Marsee
CF
Miami will presumably look to stay away from Marsee for the series finale at Citi Field and is treating the young outfielder as day-to-day heading into its three-game series in Atlanta that begins Tuesday. Esteury Ruiz will draw the start in center field in place of Marsee.
Andrew Nardi
RP
It's unclear where Nardi is at in his throwing program, but the reliever has progressed enough that he believes he's not far off from pitching in games. The lefty collected a 5.16 ERA and 27:11 K:BB over 22.2 innings before going down with a left ribcage stress reaction in late May.
Max Meyer
SP
After being placed on the 15-day injured list on Monday, Meyer will not throw for another two weeks and will be evaluated after that period is over. The 27-year-old is eligible for activation on August 4 but will most likely have an extended absence before he returns to a big-league mound.
Josh Ekness
RP
Ekness has been on the shelf since June 1 due to a right calf injury, which was severe enough for him to shift to the 60-day injured list three weeks later. He's progressed enough in his recovery to start a rehab assignment, and given the length of his IL stint, he'll likely need a few minor-league games under his belt before he's cleared to return to the Marlins.
Ronny Henriquez
RP
Henriquez has already been ruled out for the entirety of the 2026 campaign after undergoing UCL reconstruction surgery in the offseason, but the fact that he's now playing catch is a very encouraging sign of progress. Assuming his rehab continues smoothly, he should be ready for the start of spring training in 2027.
