David Festa
SP
Festa was shut down early in spring camp due to a shoulder impingement and still has yet to begin throwing off a mound. His move to the 60-day IL will ensure he remains sidelined until at least late May and open up a spot on the 40-man roster for Garrett Acton, whom the Twins acquired Thursday in a trade with Miami.
Pablo Lopez
SP
Lopez underwent an internal brace procedure Wednesday -- rather than a full Tommy John surgery -- to shorten his recovery process, but he will still be forced to miss the entire 2026 season. His move to the 60-day IL will create a spot on the 40-man roster for Zak Kent, who was claimed off waivers from the Cardinals on Thursday.
Cody Laweryson
RP
Laweryson's trip to the injured list will open up a handful of high-leverage opportunities, but there will still be plenty of competition in Minnesota's bullpen, as four other relievers have all notched one save apiece so far this year. Andrew Morris was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move.
Cory Lewis
SP
Lewis strained his right shoulder prior to reporting to spring training and only recently began playing catch, so he'll need more time to increase his throwing distance off flat ground before graduating to mound work. The 25-year-old was cut from big-league camp Thursday and will likely serve as a swingman at Triple-A St. Paul once he's fully healthy.
Taj Bradley
SP
Bradley had to battle early, needing 51 pitches just to get through the first two innings, but he settled in nicely afterward and dominated for long stretches. He retired 11 straight batters before Daylen Lile broke the run with a two-out double in the fifth inning. Bradley continues to provide reliable production, now allowing two or fewer runs in seven of his eight starts this season. The right-hander now owns a 2.87 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 52:17 K:BB across 47 innings and is slated to face Cleveland in his next outing.
