Jesus Luzardo

SP

Luzardo outdueled Grant Holmes in Monday's 1-0 victory, pitching both his first career complete game and shutout. The southpaw has been rolling on the hill since the onset of August, throwing at least 5.2 innings while yielding two runs or fewer in each of his last seven starts. He's set to finish a two-start week over the weekend in Atlanta while carrying a 2.87 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 221:52 K:BB over 178.2 innings for the season.

Brandon Marsh

LF

Marsh fouled a ball off his foot during a plate appearance in the bottom of the eighth inning and was replaced on defense before the top of the ninth. The Phillies could send the outfielder for X-rays after the contest. Marsh was 0-for-3 with two strikeouts before departing.

Tanner Banks

RP

Banks is ready to take the next step in his recovery from a strained left forearm. The Phillies will presumably have the southpaw make a handful of appearances in the minors before considering reinstating him from the injured list. Banks has been shelved since early July but is on track to rejoin Philadelphia's bullpen at some point in mid-to-late September.

Felix Reyes

LF

Reyes saw a decent amount of playing time initially upon his promotion last month, but he's hardly played lately with just one start over his team's last 10 games. Otto Kemp will grab the roster spot vacated by Reyes, who should receive more regular reps with Lehigh Valley.

Caleb Kilian

RP

Kilian entered the contest with the game tied 5-5 heading into the top of the 12th inning. The automatic runner came around to score when Blue Jays center fielder Brett Bateman led off the frame with an RBI single, but Kilian was then able to induce a double play off the bat of Jesus Sanchez before getting Alejandro Kirk to pop out to end the inning. The Phillies would go on to score two runs in the bottom of the 12th to reward Kilian with a win, but the side injury he suffered on his final pitch of the contest could put the right-hander at risk of landing on the injured list. Mattingly said that Kilian's injury "didn't look good," but the Phillies won't known the full extent of the issue until he undergoes further imaging Monday, per MLB.com.
