Jordan Lawlar
LF
There's been little information about Lawlar's recovery since he landed on the injured list June 20. The return to baseball activities is encouraging, and the 23-year-old is expected to undergo a follow-up MRI on Friday. Injuries keep piling up for Lawlar, who's been impacted by poor health the last three seasons and played just 12 games in 2026. The report indicates a possible return in late July or early August.
Tommy Troy
LF
Troy was forced to miss the final contest of the team's three-game sweep of the Dodgers on Sunday while nursing a right shoulder bruise that he suffered Saturday. The 24-year-old will now undergo additional imaging to determine the severity of his injury. With the All-Star break beginning Monday, Troy could avoid missing any additional action moving forward, if the MRI comes back clean.
Zac Gallen
SP
The right-hander was scratched from his scheduled start Sunday against the Dodgers due to elbow inflammation and will be out for at least the next couple weeks. The severity of the injury hasn't been disclosed, so it's unclear if Gallen will be ready to return when first eligible in late July. Mitch Bratt was called up to fill the open spot in the rotation Sunday.
Michael Soroka
SP
Soroka, who landed on the 15-day injured list June 20 due to left glute discomfort, appears likely to miss more than the minimum amount of time. A clearer target date for his return from the IL should become available once he advances to facing hitters.
Corbin Burnes
SP
Burnes had been working his way back from Tommy John surgery during April and May but was forced to shut down in early June. The plan calls for him to throw off flat ground every other day and then progress to throwing off a mound. The Diamondbacks hope the right-hander can return in time for a September playoff push.
