Moreno has missed nearly two weeks of action with a left oblique strain, but he has upped his activity level recently and has responded well. It's unclear whether the Diamondbacks will ask Moreno to go out on a short rehab assignment before returning. Arizona has been going with James McCann and Adrian Del Castillo at catcher since Moreno was injured.

Corbin Burnes

Burnes has been throwing occasional bullpen sessions since spring training -- Tuesday's session was his fourth -- so there was nothing significant about Tuesday's activity. "He just wants to make sure everything is feeling right, he's duplicating his delivery," Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said of Burnes. The pitcher is still on track to return near or after the All-Star break.

A.J. Puk

RP

The earliest date Puk can be activated from the 60-day injured list is May 21, and the reliever estimated he'd be "facing batters or starting rehab games" around then. The left-hander is four bullpen sessions in and will throw at least another six before facing hitters.

Pavin Smith

The bone chips were the cause of the inflammation that Smith began experiencing during spring training. A timeline for his return for his return was not given, but he's currently on the 60-day injured list and can't be reinstated until May 29.

Tyler Locklear

Lovullo said the club may take another image of Locklear's elbow to ensure there are no setbacks as he takes the next steps. A rehab assignment will certainly take place, at which point, the team will get a better idea of his return timeline.
