Dean Kremer

Kremer, who is on the shelf with a right quadriceps strain, now won't be eligible to rejoin the Orioles until late June at the earliest. Brandon Young should see several more turns through the rotation, holding a respectable 3.35 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 33:17 K:BB over 43 innings (eight starts).

Levi Wells

P

Wells landed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Norfolk last week, and a decision to have him undergo surgery was subsequently made. It's unclear how long his rehab will take, but Wells almost surely won't be an option for the Orioles before the All-Star break. He holds a 4.50 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 36:11 K:BB across 36 innings at Norfolk this season.

Dylan Beavers

RF

It's the first time he's hit in the cage since going down with a right oblique strain in mid-May. Whether Beavers is asked to go out on a rehab assignment before rejoining the Orioles' active roster isn't clear, but he appears close to participating in a game setting of some kind.

Cade Povich

SP

The left-hander landed on the shelf May 8 due to elbow inflammation, and it appears he's avoided a serious injury after being evaluated further. Povich will be eligible to be reinstated from the injured list this weekend, but his lack of official return timeline indicates that his absence is likely to extend into June.

Ryan Helsley

RP

The Orioles plan to re-evaluate Helsley following their upcoming six-game road trip, after which the right-hander could be cleared to head out on a rehab assignment. Helsley appears to be trending toward a return from the injured list sometime in June, though a specific target date likely won't be established until he's pitching in simulated games or minor-league games. Once he eventually makes his way back from the IL, Helsley should step back in as the Orioles' preferred option to close games.
