Jacob Misiorowski
SP
Misiorowski had been lined up to start the final game before the break Sunday in Pittsburgh, but the Brewers opted to scratch him after he experienced some right arm fatigue coming out of his previous appearance Tuesday in St. Louis. While Misiorowski doesn't appear to be dealing with anything overly concerning, the Brewers appear to be using the upcoming All-Star break as a way to build in some extended rest for their young ace. After covering 141.1 innings between Triple-A and the majors during the regular season and playoffs in 2025, the 24-year-old is well on his way to soaring past that mark, as he's tossed 111 innings through his first 18 starts of 2026. Misiorowski appears likely to make his next start during the Brewers' three-game home series with the Mets, which begins July 20.
Brandon Woodruff
SP
The veteran right-hander was diagnosed with an injury to his right anterior shoulder capsule after landing on the IL last weekend, and it's not a major surprise the injury will keep him sidelined for at least two months. Woodruff is without an official timeline for his return but will be eligible to be reinstated in early September. He's been effective when available this season with a 2.98 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 47:10 K:BB across 45.1 innings, but the recurrent shoulder issues remain a major hurdle that he's struggled to fully overcome.
Kyle Harrison
SP
After quietly dealing with the injury for several outings, Harrison spoke up about his discomfort Wednesday, which explains why he was pulled after just four innings. It also helps to explain why his performance has begun to dip recently, as he's now turned in a 5.00 ERA across his last four starts. Despite his premature exit, the 24-year-old southpaw didn't seem to be very concerned about the issue, and he'll have plenty of time to recover before he makes his next start after the All-Star break.
Brandon Lockridge
LF
The transaction makes space on the 40-man roster for the addition of Greg Jones. It doesn't not alter the timetable for Lockridge, who has been sidelined since early May with a right patella injury. Lockridge isn't expected back until at least late July.
David Hamilton
3B
After landing on the injured list Tuesday due to a left hamstring strain, Hamilton will end up needing more than the minimum 10 days to heal up from the injury. Murphy's comments indicate that the speedy infielder will remain out for the Brewers' first six games of the second half, and it's unclear whether Hamilton will need a rehab assignment before making his return from the shelf. Joey Ortiz will likely receive the bulk of the reps at third base while Hamilton is stuck on the IL.
