Quinn Priester

Working his way back from thoracic outlet syndrome, Priester struggled again in his last rehab outing with Nashville, getting charged with three runs while recording only two outs. In six rehab starts between Nashville and High-A Wisconsin, Priester holds a 21.60 ERA, 3.60 WHIP and 10:17 K:BB in 10 innings. By sending him to the ACL, the Brewers will have more control over Priester's workload and he will be able to work on things in a less pressurized setting. McCalvy writes that doctors "continue to believe, for now," that Priester doesn't need season-ending surgery, but that stance might have to be re-evaluated if the righty doesn't show improvement.

Brandon Lockridge

LF

If he bounces back well from that, Lockridge will be one of the hitters against Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) in a simulated game Wednesday. Lockridge has been shelved since early May with a deep laceration in his right knee and will likely require a rehab assignment before rejoining the active roster.

Brandon Woodruff

SP

He's expected to throw around 60 pitches in the outing. He could be cleared to rejoin the Brewers' rotation after that, though it's also possible they'll ask him to make a rehab start. Woodruff has been sidelined since late April because of right shoulder inflammation.

Angel Zerpa

RP

This transaction has been an eventuality since it was announced in early May that Zerpa required a UCL reconstruction on his left elbow. The 26-year-old is expected to be sidelined until around midseason of 2027.

Jared Koenig

RP

Koenig hit the 15-day injured list April 6 with a left elbow sprain that was diagnosed as having UCL damage. The southpaw was able to resume throwing April 28 and returned to mound work May 12. If he does begin his rehab assignment Friday with Triple-A Nashville, it will be against Triple-A Gwinnett. This likely pushes the reliever's return to early May.
