Brandon Woodruff
SP
Manager Pat Murphy had already indicated that Woodruff would rejoin the rotation for the Brewers' upcoming series versus the Reds, and the right-hander has now revealed that he'll take the hill for the first of three games in Cincinnati. Woodruff will be making his first appearance for Milwaukee since April 30, when he was lifted from a start against the Diamondbacks after developing shoulder inflammation. Over the course of two minor-league rehab starts, Woodruff was able to get stretched out to 5.1 innings and 82 pitches, so he should be capable of handling something close to a normal workload Monday.
Quinn Priester
SP
Priester has dealt with thoracic outlet symptoms since last season, and he attempted unsuccessfully to treat it with rest and rehab. After consulting with Dr. Gregory Pearl on Tuesday, the decision was made to have surgery. Priester expects to be ready to go for the beginning of next season, but the track record of pitchers coming back from this type of procedure isn't great.
Brandon Sproat
SP
Sproat's hamstring began to give him trouble during the fourth inning of Wednesday's contest, forcing him out of the game after he'd given up four earned runs in 3.2 innings. He won't have to worry about missing any additional starts, however, which puts him on track to take the mound next week on the road against the Reds.
Coleman Crow
SP
Milwaukee placed Crow on the 15-day injured list Friday, three days after he shifted to the bullpen and made a two-inning relief appearance in the Brewers' 7-5 loss to the Athletics. Crow still appears likely to miss more than the minimum amount of time, but since his injury is considered mild, he's expected to avoid a prolonged shutdown. The Brewers are likely still planning on developing the right-hander as a starter, so he could end up joining the rotation at Triple-A Nashville once he's activated from the IL.
DL Hall
RP
Hall could be cleared to start throwing once the shot takes full effect, but the southpaw is still preparing to miss around 4-to-8 weeks while he works his way back from the pec injury. Prior to landing on the shelf June 5, Hall notched three holds and turned in a 2.03 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 32:24 K:BB across 31 innings.
Brandon Lockridge
LF
Lockridge has been on the injured list since May 9 due to a right knee laceration, but he appeared to be close to heading out on a minor-league rehab assignment earlier this month. However, after experiencing recurring discomfort with his knee while upping the intensity of his running, Lockridge opted for the PRP treatment with the hope that it would accelerate his healing. He'll likely wait a couple more days for the shot to take full effect before he starts ramping back up, but a timeline for Lockridge's return from the IL won't become clear until he begins playing in minor-league games.
Jared Koenig
RP
The left-hander landed on the shelf with an elbow sprain in early April and has allowed one run on six hits with a 2:4 K:BB across 4.2 frames in five rehab appearances. The Brewers will likely look to pitch Koenig on back-to-back days at Nashville before reinstating him from the IL.
Brian Fitzpatrick
RP
Fitzpatrick was removed from Friday's game against the Rockies after he appeared to suffer the elbow injury while warming up for the seventh inning. The rookie left-hander has appeared in five games out of Milwaukee's bullpen this season, allowing two runs (one earned) on seven hits and three walks with five strikeouts across 6.2 innings. Fitzpatrick is now looking at an extended absence after being placed on the 15-day injured list earlier Saturday.
Carlos Rodriguez
RP
Milwaukee optioned Rodriguez to Triple-A Nashville on May 31, but he hadn't made an appearance since being demoted and has now been moved to the IL retroactive to that date. Rodriguez will be eligible for activation June 15, but whenever he's reinstated, Milwaukee is likely to option him back to Triple-A.
Logan Henderson
SP
Henderson was placed on the injured list Tuesday with a lower-back strain, and the Brewers anticipate him returning to the rotation sometime in late June or early July. Robert Gasser, Coleman Crow and Shane Drohan have all received starts while the Brewers look for ways to replace Henderson in the rotation.
Rob Zastryzny
RP
After spending the first couple months of the season on the shelf due to shoulder and intercostal strains, Zastryzny is ready to join the Brewers after six scoreless rehab appearances. The left-hander covered a career-high 22 frames in the majors last year and had a 2.45 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 20:10 K:BB.
Angel Zerpa
RP
This transaction has been an eventuality since it was announced in early May that Zerpa required a UCL reconstruction on his left elbow. The 26-year-old is expected to be sidelined until around midseason of 2027.
