The star point guard reached the 30-point threshold for the fourth time over his last seven games, though he collided with Adem Bona late in the fourth quarter and exited to the locker room while holding his right hand. If Maxey is forced to miss time, Cameron Payne and Quentin Grimes would be candidates to see an uptick in minutes. Maxey's status will be worth monitoring ahead of Monday's game in Cleveland.

VJ Edgecombe

Edgecombe will miss a second consecutive game due to a lumbar contusion, and the rookie first-rounder's next chance to play is Monday against the Cavaliers. Trendon Watford figures to remain in the 76ers' starting lineup for as long as Edgecombe is sidelined, and Quentin Grimes and Jabari Walker should continue to operate in elevated roles off the bench.

Joel Embiid

Embiid has been sidelined since Feb. 26 after sustaining a right oblique strain during a win over the Heat. While he remains out for the immediate future, the 76ers announced that the big man has begun individual strength work, a positive sign in his recovery process. Philadelphia has a busy slate over the next week, and Embiid will miss at least the next four contests based on this timeline. Andre Drummond should continue to start at center in the interim, with Adem Bona serving as the primary backup. Embiid's next realistic chance to suit up will likely come in mid-March, although Philadelphia might opt to take a cautious approach with the injury-prone Embiid.

Johni Broome

The procedure was performed by Dr. Riley Williams at HSS in New York, and the 76ers announced that Broome will be re-evaluated in four weeks. While the team previously noted that surgery could potentially end the rookie's season, a meniscectomy typically carries a shorter recovery timeline of 4-to-6 weeks compared to a full repair. Broome sustained the injury on Feb. 21 while playing for the G League's Delaware Blue Coats. The second-round pick out of Auburn has appeared in just 11 games for Philadelphia this season, averaging 0.9 points and 1.5 rebounds in 5.0 minutes per contest.
