Muse was likely elevated as an additional blocker for field-goal attempts and PATs. The entire Falcons tight end corps consisting of Kyle Pitts, Charlie Woerner and Austin Hooper is fully healthy, meaning Muse will likely be useful only as a special teams addition during Sunday's contest with the Steelers.

Cooper Rush

QB

With Tua Tagovailoa (oblique) already ruled out and Michael Penix (knee) still sidelined, Rush remains in line to handle the Falcons' Week 1 start, with Jack Strand serving as the backup. Rush has a 9-7 record across 16 career starts, and over 42 regular-season games, he has completed 61.1 percent of his passes for 20 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

Za'Darius Smith

DE

Smith is dealing with a shoulder injury but was able to practice in full Friday, and he has a chance of suiting up in Week 1. However, if Smith can't play, the Falcons will need to lean on depth during Sunday's contest, and Cameron Thomas and Jared Ivey would likely see an increased snap share opposite Samson Ebukam.

Billy Bowman Jr.

CB

Bowman is still being limited in practice as he recovers from the Achilles tear he sustained in November. The safety is not quite ready to get back on the field, but if he keeps stringing together practices, he may be able to suit up for the Falcons' Week 2 showdown with the Panthers.

Cameron Williams

OL

Williams was ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Steelers due to his ankle injury. The offensive tackle will evidently need more time to recover and now must miss at least four games before he is eligible to return from IR. Jake Matthews will likely get the start at left tackle in Williams' absence.
