Gadjovich hasn't been in the lineup since late October. The 27-year-old appeared in only 10 games in 2025-26, chipping in three helpers, 30 hits and a plus-2 rating. It remains to be seen how he has been progressing in his recovery.

Sam Reinhart

C

The Panthers have been dealing with a slew of injuries, and Reinhart is one of several players who will likely be shut down for the rest of this year. The goal-scoring winger will conclude the 2025-26 campaign with 29 markers, including six game-winners, 61 points (25 on the power play), 166 shots and a minus-18 rating over 64 appearances. While it's not currently known how his recovery process is going, Reinhart should have more than enough time to be ready for the start of training camp in September ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Evan Rodrigues

C

Rodrigues was already expected to miss the rest of the year but the decision to have surgery will officially close the door on a potential return. As such, the 32-year-old center will end the year with 11 goals and 20 helpers in 69 contests, reaching the 30-point threshold for the fifth straight year.

Cole Schwindt

RW

Schwindt is expected to play again this season, but he is running out of time to get into a game. Once given the all-clear, the 24-year-old winger will likely slot into a bottom-six role, though he could see increased opportunities given the number of injuries to the Cats' forward group.

Aleksander Barkov

C

Barkov has been skating since January and participated in practices with his teammates for the past few weeks. However, head coach Paul Maurice confirmed before Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Rangers that Barkov won't play this campaign. The 30-year-old Barkov had reconstructive surgery last September to repair his right ACL and MCL. He just passed the six-month mark of a 7-9 month recovery. Barkov registered 20 goals and 71 points in 67 appearances during the 2024-25 regular season.

Anton Lundell

C

Lundell has missed the Panthers' last two games due to his rib injury, and he recently underwent an MRI. Maurice said that the results were "not good," and even though Lundell won't require surgery, he'll need some time on the shelf to recover. The early range of Lundell's return timetable would allow him to get back on the ice before the end of the regular season, but it certainly seems possible that the Panthers will elect to shut him down for the remainder of the year, especially if they're ultimately eliminated from postseason contention.

Niko Mikkola

Uvis Balinskis

D

Balinskis has been sidelined for a week and a half due to his lower-body injury, and it's possible that he'll be shut down for the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with a fracture. Across 54 appearances for the Panthers this year, he's recorded five goals, 10 assists, 71 hits, 42 blocked shots and 30 PIM while averaging 16:22 of ice time.

Brad Marchand

LW

Marchand has missed the last three games and is not expected to be back in the lineup anytime soon. Considering the Panthers are all but eliminated from postseason contention, it would not be surprising to see Marchand shut down for the remainder of the year after multiple deep playoff runs and injuries along the way.
