Even if Carrier is on the short end of his recovery timeline, he figures to miss the rest of the regular season. With the blueliner on the shelf, Lane Hutson could see a significant uptick in ice time while Adam Engstrom steps into the lineup. Assuming this is the end of Carrier's regular season, he'll end the year having generated a career-high seven goals to go with 15 assists

Kirby Dach

Dach was hurt in Sunday's 4-3 loss to Anaheim. The 2019 No. 3 overall pick's season has been plagued by injuries once again, and he'll now be out of the lineup until at least the end of March. Since Dach is sidelined, Zachary Bolduc, who was a healthy scratch Sunday, will draw back into the lineup Tuesday against the Bruins in a massive divisional game. Dach has posted eight goals, 14 points, 45 shots, 43 hits and an even plus-minus rating over 32 appearances in 2025-26.

Patrik Laine

Laine underwent core muscle surgery Oct. 25, and this is the first time since then that he has joined his teammates on the ice. Laine was given a 3-4 month recovery timetable and he could return to the lineup as early as late January. Laine has one assist in five games this season.
