Weathers opened his outing by retiring the first 10 batters he faced before eventually allowing his lone run on back-to-back doubles in the fifth inning. The 7.1 frames marked his longest start since April 19 and continued an impressive run for the left-hander, who has surrendered just three runs across his last 31.2 innings. Weathers owns a 3.56 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 140:38 K:BB across a career-high 134 innings this season. He's scheduled for a rematch with Toronto in his next start, this time at home.

Cody Bellinger

LF

Manager Aaron Boone suggested earlier in the week that Bellinger could return to the Yankees' lineup by the end of the weekend, and the 31-year-old outfielder confirmed Saturday that he will do so. Bellinger went 1-for-6 with a strikeout in the two rehab games he played at Triple-A but had been on fire at the plate before getting injured, slashing .372/.438/.465 across his last dozen games. He figures to immediately reclaim his role as New York's primary left fielder.

Giancarlo Stanton

DH

Stanton has been on the injured list since late April due to a strained right calf, and he is now dealing with a left calf strain as well after falling down during his most recent baserunning session. The Yankees haven't yet ruled out a return for Stanton later this season, but Boone admitted that it will be difficult for the veteran slugger to return before the end of the year.

Max Fried

SP

Fried was placed on the injured list earlier this week to a bone bruise in his left elbow. It's the same injury he dealt with earlier this season, but Fried said it's not as severe this time, and he needs to clean up his mechanics to avoid re-injury. Manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that Fried's stay on the 15-day IL could be around the minimum.

Ryan McMahon

3B

McMahon was scheduled to undergo X-rays after injuring his left thumb on a slide Wednesday. There's no word yet on the results, but he will be held out of action Thursday. Jose Caballero is drawing the start at third base for the Yankees.
