Jacoby Brissett

As he strives for new contract terms, Brissett stayed away from Arizona's voluntary work this offseason, and while the veteran signal-caller was present for the team's mandatory minicamp last month, he did not participate in practice. That he connected with WRs Marvin Harrison and Simi Fehoko, TEs Trey McBride and Elijah Higgins along with fellow QB Kedon Slovis ahead of training camp is a positive sign, but it remains to be seen if or for how long Brissett's contract issue lingers once the Cardinals re-take the field. For now, Drake notes that Brissett remains the team's expected Week 1 starter, but Gardner Minshew (who took the majority of first-team QB reps this offseason) and 2026 third-rounder Carson Beck also could enter the conversation this summer, pending Brissett's status.

Trey McBride

TE

Brissett, who started 12 games for Arizona last season after Murray was injured, is still looking to secure a reworked deal for this coming season. However, Mackie believes that the veteran QB seems to have the inside track to the 2026 starting job, provided his contract issue is settled. Regardless of who gets the Week 1 signal-caller nod, McBride remains an elite fantasy option at the TE position and is on track to see high volume in the Cardinals' passing attack, on the heels of a 2025 regular season in which he racked up 126 catches (on 169 targets) for 1,239 yards and 11 TDs in 17 contests.

Kaleb Proctor

DT

Proctor signed his four-year rookie contract Monday, but he may not see any action during the first season of the deal. The 22-year-old suffered a torn meniscus during OTAs in early June and is slated for an extended absence. Proctor had been expected to compete for a reserve role at defensive tackle prior to the injury.

Tip Reiman

TE

Reiman is recovering from a season-ending ankle injury suffered in early October. The 2024 third-rounder has caught nine passes in his career despite playing all 17 regular-season games for the Cardinals in 2024, as well as the first four games of the 2025 campaign. When healthy, Reiman will still likely serve as the No. 2 tight end behind star Trey McBride.

Gardner Minshew II

That Brissett -- who didn't take a single practice rep during Arizona's offseason program -- connected with WRs Marvin Harrison and Simi Fehoko, TEs Trey McBride and Elijah Higgins along with fellow QB Kedon Slovis is a positive sign, but at this stage it's unclear if or for how long the signal-caller's contract issue lingers once the Cardinals re-take the field. In the absence of Brissett, the team's expected Week 1 starter, Minshew took the majority of first-team QB reps throughout the offseason, so this will be a situation worth monitoring closely once Arizona's training camp commences July 22.
