Pat Bryant

Bryant joined Courtland Sutton and Jaylen Waddle as the Broncos' starting wideouts in Friday's preseason game. Although Bryant was listed as a starter, it remains to be seen whether he'll end up being the WR3 for the regular season, as he continues to face competition from Marvin Mims (undisclosed) and Troy Franklin. The Broncos wrap up the preseason this Friday against the Vikings.

Jonah Coleman

RB

Coleman was the second Broncos running back in the game after RJ Harvey, with J.K. Dobbins observing Friday's exhibition contest from the sidelines. Coleman, a fourth-round selection of the Broncos in the 2026 NFL Draft, is pushing for a rotational role in the backfield with Dobbins and Harvey, though Coleman may see most of his playing time as a contributor on special teams. The Broncos will wrap up their preseason slate this Friday against the Vikings.

Wil Lutz

Lutz's seven points were over half of the Broncos' total scoring for the night. The kicker succeeded from 53 and 38 yards in the contest, continuing to prove he is the clear primary kicker for the team. Lutz made 28 of 32 field goals during 17 regular-season games in 2025, nailing four of six attempts from 50 yards or greater.

Troy Franklin

WR

Franklin had a short night, but the lack of any targets is not a good showing for the supposed No. 3 wide receiver. With the offseason addition of Jaylen Waddle, Franklin is set to see a regression in target share, so he will need to earn every snap. The speedy Oregon product provides a nice deep threat to complement Waddle, but it remains to be seen how he will be utilized in the new offense.

Evan Engram

TE

Engram was more involved offensively in the Broncos' preseason opener against the Falcons, when he caught one pass on three targets for 24 yards. He didn't see a target in Friday's exhibition game, and it remains to be seen whether Engram and the other Denver starters will play in the preseason finale against Minnesota this Friday. Engram is coming off a 2025 regular season in which he caught 50 passes on 76 targets for 461 yards and one touchdown across 16 games. He figures to lead the Broncos' tight end group that also includes Adam Trautman, Justin Joly and Nate Adkins.
