The starting left tackle had to take medicine, but his absence was "exclusively just managing," Rams coach Sean McVay told reporters, per Jackson and Edwards. Jackson had to sit for the last nine regular-season games of the 2022 season due to blood clots in his lungs, and he was diagnosed with more in his lower leg during the 2025 offseason. However, Jackson was able to manage the issue with treatment and medication prior to the start of the 2025 campaign, and he could be on a similar trajectory this summer.

Puka Nacua

WR

Nacua has made some questionable off-field decisions at times, but his on-field effectiveness isn't in question, and the NFL's 2025 regular-season receptions leader has been piling up plenty of catches in practice as Matthew Stafford's favorite target. As long as Nacua stays on the field, he'll likely be a dominant force in the final season of his rookie contract with the Rams.

Stetson Bennett IV

QB

The Rams surprisingly drafted Simpson 13th overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. It's likely just a matter of time until Simpson surpasses Bennett as Matthew Stafford's primary backup, but Bennett's edge in experience has the 2023 fourth-round pick ahead of the rookie first-rounder for now. Bennett has been taking second-team reps and working with the first team whenever Stafford takes a breather.

Jordan Whittington

WR

We've heard this before at a similar time of the year, and while Whittington has seen a few opportunities as the No. 3 receiver, it's rarely amounted to much in terms of routes and targets. The job bounced around between a slew of players last year, including Xavier Smith and Konata Mumpfield, both of whom are still on the team. The Rams also have rookie sixth-round pick CJ Daniels as a dark horse candidate for the job. In any case, the offense likely will use a lot of multi-TE formations, limiting the WR3's snap and route shares.

Myles Garrett

DE

Garrett has missed the team's last three sessions as he continues to deal with lower-body soreness. While the 29-year-old is expected to be sidelined for Monday's practice as well, head coach Sean McVay said the injury isn't serious and Garrett should be back for the next practice block.
