Dre Greenlaw

Greenlaw played 40 of 61 defensive snaps (65.6 percent) in San Francisco's Week 1 victory and finished tied with Deommodore Lenoir as the team's third-leading tackler behind Fred Warner (11) and Marques Sigle (nine). It was just the 11th regular-season game that Greenlaw has appeared in since tearing his Achilles in Super Bowl LVIII at the end of the 2023 season, as the veteran linebacker has also dealt with other lower-body injuries since. His defensive snaps figure to be closely monitored given his injury history, but the addition of Greenlaw in the offseason bolstered the 49ers' linebacker corps that also consists of Warner and Luke Gifford.

Nick Bosa

Bosa showed out as a run defender during his first game back from an ACL injury that he suffered in Week 3 of the 2025 season. The defensive end didn't notch a sack in the Week 1 contest, but he was a strong presence on the edge against the Rams' run and pass game. The 28-year-old played 59 percent of the defensive snaps, in line with the other starters on the team's defensive line.

Marques Sigle

S

Sigle was on the field for all 61 of San Francisco's defensive snaps in Week 1, and his tackle total was the second best on the team behind Fred Warner's 11. He may be a worthwhile IDP consideration in some leagues heading into a Week 2 matchup versus the Giants.

Renardo Green

CB

Green picked off Matthew Stafford during the second quarter on a pass intended for Puka Nacua. The cornerback had a stellar night in coverage while playing all 61 of the 49ers' defensive snaps.

Deommodore Lenoir

CB

Lenoir played all 61 of the 49ers' defensive snaps in the contest. The cornerback was a force to be reckoned with up close, taking down three ball carriers by himself and assisting on three stops while providing strong coverage for the entirety of the game.
