Tucker Kraft
TE
Since that point, Kraft has been making plays against the Packers defense, recording four catches Sunday and five more Tuesday. One of those grabs occurred on a deep ball down the right side from QB Jordan Love, who arced a pass over CB Keisean Nixon that Kraft hauled in with one hand and then sprinted for a would-be touchdown. This comes on the heels of Kraft telling Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com on Sunday that he hopes to not be on a snap count to begin the season but acknowledged that the Packers may place him on one following last November's ACL tear. Meanwhile, Kraft and the Packers still are aiming to lock in a contract extension before Week 1.

Lukas Van Ness
DE
Van Ness saw a short-lived absence, missing just one practice and coming back to the field on Tuesday. The 25-year-old is a presumed starting pass rusher but may not play in Green Bay's week two preseason matchup with Denver as a precaution for the injury that took place. Van Ness is expected to take on a bigger role to begin the 2026 season while Micah Parsons (knee) continues to rehab.
Jordan Love
QB
Love looks poised to play for the second week in a row after he took the field for the opening series in Thursday's 28-9 loss to the Steelers in the exhibition opener. While LaFleur didn't go into specifics regarding his plan for Love's workload against Denver, the quarterback will likely be in line to play more than the one possession, but perhaps not much more than that. LaFleur added that Love is unlikely to play in the preseason finale Aug. 28 versus the Cardinals, though he'll be able to get some game-like reps in joint practices with Arizona leading up to that exhibition.
Domani Jackson
CB
Jackson appears to have fully recovered from his offseason core surgery. The rookie sixth-rounder's training camp debut is just the beginning, as he will need to prove that he can be a key contributor on special teams to earn a spot on the 53-man roster.
Jordon Riley
DT
Riley continues to work his way back from a torn Achilles tendon he suffered in Week 17 of the 2025 regular season. Coach Matt LaFleur praised the nose tackle's recovery effort, but the team still does not expect him back soon. The 28-year-old's return date now lies somewhere near the start of the regular season and it is unclear how many games he may miss.
Trey Smack
PK
Smack -- per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel -- was a bit wayward early in training camp, but the rookie was true on all three of his attempts, including one from 58 yards away, in his first exhibition appearance. Smack was already the clear favorite to open the season as Green Bay's kicker, and Thursday's showing all but locks him in.
MarShawn Lloyd
RB
With Josh Jacobs (groin) sidelined, Lloyd got the start for the Packers but saw limited snaps alongside other members of the first unit like QB Jordan Love. Jacobs' status this season is clouded due to off-field issues, and nagging injuries are par for the course with him, so the identity of Green Bay's RB2 holds more importance than usual. Lloyd appears to be getting the first crack at securing the role, but he'll need to prove he can stay on the field -- he's played just one NFL game since being taken in the third round of the 2024 draft.
Matthew Golden
WR
The Packers began the game with most of their offensive starters on the field, including QB Jordan Love, but they all made quick exits. Golden, the 23rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, is coming off a disappointing rookie campaign in which he failed to find the end zone in 14 regular-season contests. He'll battle Christian Watson and Jayden Reed for looks from Love, but as in years past in coach Matt LaFleur's offense, who the actual top option is could change from week to week.
Jayden Reed
WR
The Packers began the game with most of their offensive starters on the field, including QB Jordan Love, but they all made quick exits. Reed is established as one of the team's top three wideouts alongside Christian Watson and Matthew Golden, but as in years past in Matt LaFleur's offense, who the actual top option is could change from week to week. Reed played only seven regular-season games in 2025 due to injuries, catching 19 of 22 targets for 207 yards and one touchdown.
Christian Watson
WR
The Packers began the game with most of their offensive starters on the field, including QB Jordan Love, but they all made quick exits. Watson heads into 2026 at the top of the depth chart at wide receiver after signing a four-year, $110.5 million contract extension in June, but Jayden Reed and Matthew Golden both figure to see significant roles as well, and as in years past in Matt LaFleur's offense, who the actual top option is could change from week to week. Watson has missed time to injuries in each of his four NFL seasons, playing just 10 regular-season contests last year and hauling in 35 of 55 targets for 611 yards and six touchdowns.
Chris Brooks
RB
Brooks will join Josh Jacobs (groin) on the sideline for the Packers' exhibition opener, leaving some combination of MarShawn Lloyd, Pierre Strong, Damien Martinez and Jaden Nixon to man the backfield. Brooks' absence Thursday may stem from the hamstring injury that kept him on the active/PUP list until this past Sunday. In any case, he'll have two more chances to mix into a preseason contest as he vies with Lloyd for the No. 2 RB role behind Jacobs.
Carrington Valentine
CB
Given LaFleur's comments, Valentine will not be available for Thursday's preseason opener against the Steelers. If the 2023 seventh-rounder is cleared to return to practice next week, then he could be available for the Packers' second exhibition contest against the Broncos on Friday, Aug. 21. Benjamin St-Juste and Brandon Cisse will work more with the first-team offense opposite cornerback Keisean Nixon for as long as Valentine is sidelined.
Josh Whyle
TE
Whyle was absent from practice Sunday due a neck injury, but the absence was short-lived. The 26-year-old has appeared to emerge as the tight end No. 3 for Green Bay, but he will now be back to taking first-team reps while Tucker Kraft (knee) and Luke Musgrave (neck) continue to rehab their respective injuries.
Jacob Monk
C
Monk had biceps surgery during the offseason to repair the injury he suffered in the Packers' wild-card loss to the Bears. The guard is back and competing with Zach Bako-Bewele for the starting right guard role. Bako-Bewele is in the last year of his rookie contract whereas Monk is locked up for another two years, meaning the latter represents a cost-effective option under team control for a longer period.
Trey Dean III
S
Dean was a member of the Chiefs' practice squad during their 2023 Super Bowl winning campaign, but the safety has yet to play in an NFL game. The 26-year-old spent the 2026 UFL campaign with the Louisville Kings and St. Louis Battlehawks, recording 20 tackles (16 solo), including 1.0 sacks, across six regular-season games.
Zach Bako-Bewele
OT
Formerly known as Zach Tom, the Packers' starting right tackle put pen to paper on the name change to honor two of his grandparents of Nigerian descent. The team's official site reflects the change on his player page, and it also was noted on the NFL's official transaction log from Aug. 2.
