Prior to getting hurt, Carrick was stuck in a five-game pointless streak in which he managed just six shots, eight hits and one block while averaging 9:25 of ice time. Given his timeline, fantasy managers probably shouldn't expect the veteran center back during the regular season. As such, he'll finish the year having generated six points, 19 shots and 20 hits in 13 games since being acquired by the Sabres at the trade deadline.

Jiri Kulich

Kulich has been out of action since Nov. 1 against the Capitals due to his ear injury. As a rookie, the 21-year-old center notched 15 goals and nine assists, numbers he'll try to get back to for the 2026-27 campaign.

Justin Danforth

RW

Danforth has been out of the lineup since Oct. 15 versus the Senators, a stretch of 47 games on injured reserve due to his lower-body issue. Once given the all-clear, the 32-year-old winger will likely slot into a bottom-six role. At this point, with his extended layoff, Danforth will likely miss the 20-point threshold for the first time since 2022-23 when he was with Columbus.
