Jones hasn't played since Oct. 23 due to a lower-body injury and a 20-game suspension. The blueliner was already ruled out for the remainder of the season, so this announcement doesn't come as a surprise. The 28-year-old Texas native should be ready in time for the 2026-27 campaign, barring any setbacks.

Blake Lizotte

Lizotte sat out Monday's 7-2 win over Colorado and is now in danger of missing the rest of the regular season. The Penguins conclude their 82-game schedule in St. Louis on April 14, which is exactly four weeks from now. The 28-year-old has accounted for seven goals, 19 points and a plus-6 rating over 55 appearances this season.

Filip Hallander

C

Hallander remains on injured reserve for now, but he may be activated prior to Saturday's game versus the Rangers. He is recovering from a blood clot in his leg, which has cost him more than three months of action. Hallander figures to be a bottom-six option for the Penguins once he gets back in the lineup.
