Elly De La Cruz
SS
There was some discussion about De La Cruz returning for the start of the Reds' series against the Brewers on Monday, but that would have required he sit out one of the next two games. But because the Reds are off on Thursday, instead that will be his rest day and he won't have to idle on the Reds bench for a game.
Emilio Pagan
RP
This was Pagan's first time facing live hitters since landing on the injured list in May, and the right-hander was ebullient following the session. "The fastball command was good, stuff was good. Physically, I felt strong. I'm really happy with how it went," Pagan said. "I felt like I could have thrown probably another 15-20 more, too. I felt like I was getting stronger as I went. That's a good sign." Next up for Cincinnati's closer is another live BP session Monday, which could lead to a rehab assignment, according to Reds manager Terry Francona.
Pierce Johnson
RP
Johnson began a rehab assignment Friday, throwing 17 pitches (13 strikes). He was originally expected to begin the assignment Thursday, but it was pushed out a day. Johnson is not expected to need much more than one appearance and could rejoin Cincinnati this weekend.
Hunter Greene
SP
Greene yielded two hits, walked one and topped out at 101.1 mph on the radar gun, per Lance McAlister of 700 WLW Sports Talk. He got his pitch count up to 54, throwing 39 pitches for strikes. It's an encouraging first rehab outing for Greene, who is coming back from mid-March surgery to remove bone chips from his right elbow. It's unclear when or where Greene's next rehab start will take place, but the Reds expect the right-hander to rejoin the rotation before the All-Star break.
Ke'Bryan Hayes
3B
Hayes is also working to improve core stabilization with an eye toward preventing continued issues with the back. He's served the 10-day minimum requirement on the injured list and can be activated at any time, but the report indicates his return as to be determined.
Graham Ashcraft
RP
Ashcraft got the injection after a second opinion confirmed he's dealing with a UCL sprain. The right-hander was immediately placed on the 60-day injured list following the injury last Friday and is not expected back until some point after the All-Star break.
Connor Burns

Brandon Williamson
SP
The transaction clears space on the 40-man roster for the addition of Tejay Antone, who was called up from Triple-A Louisville. Williamson landed on the 15-day IL last week with left shoulder fatigue and now won't be eligible for activation until late June.
Carson Spiers
SP
Spiers was non-tendered by Cincinnati last week, but he'll remain in the organization on a minor-league pact. The right-hander is expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2026 season after having Tommy John surgery in late July, so it's likely a two-year minor-league contract.
