Mouhamed Gueye
F
Gueye will be re-evaluated by medical staff in 3-to-4 months, which means he'll miss all of training camp and preseason and likely the start of the 2026-27 regular season. It's a brutal blow for the fourth-year big man, given that the Hawks used the No. 23 overall pick of the 2026 NBA Draft to select St. John's product Zuby Ejiofor. Gueye's absence means Ejiofor will have more opportunities in the preseason, and the rookie could establish a key role off the bench behind Onyeka Okongwu and projected backup center Jock Landale (ankle).
Keshon Gilbert
G
A hip injury cost Gilbert his final three games in Las Vegas. In his one appearance for the Hawks at Summer League, he finished with 10 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals in 20 minutes off the bench.
RayJ Dennis
G
Dennis will miss a third consecutive contest due to a right Achilles issue. He appeared in just one Las Vegas Summer League game, posting 10 points, three assists, three steals and two rebounds in 16 minutes during the July 9 win over the Spurs.
Asa Newell
F
Newell will end up playing in four Summer League games in Las Vegas, averaging 11.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.8 blocks over 25.9 minutes per game while going 6-for-12 from three-point range. He split his time between the Hawks and the G League during the 2025-26 season but averaged just 11.4 minutes per game across 44 regular-season contests (two starts). Newell figures to compete with Aaron Wiggins and Mouhamed Gueye (foot) for bench minutes in 2026-27.
Zuby Ejiofor
F
Ejiofor will be held out of Atlanta's Summer League finale for rest purposes, marking his third straight absence. The rookie big man averaged 12.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in 25.5 minutes per game across two Las Vegas Summer League outings.
Kingston Flemings
G
Flemings will sit out the Hawks' Summer League finale, marking his third consecutive contest on the inactive list. In two Las Vegas Summer League outings, he averaged 7.0 points, 6.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 combined steals-plus-blocks in 24.3 minutes per contest.
Jock Landale
C
The Hawks will quickly lock up their backup center before he hits the open market. Across 68 regular-season games in 2025-26, Landale shot 51.5 percent from the field with averages of 10.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 22.1 minutes per game. Look for him to back up Onyeka Okongwu moving forward.
