Chase DeLauter
RF
DeLauter tweaked his left hamstring during Sunday's game versus the Padres, and he will now miss a fourth consecutive starts. To this point, the Guardians have considered DeLauter day-to-day, but he'll need to improve in a hurry to avoid the injured list.
Jo Adell
RF
Adell will miss a second straight start after departing Tuesday's game with left knee soreness. He is considered day-to-day. The Guardians will roll out Steven Kwan, Petey Halpin and Angel Martinez in the outfield for Thursday's series finale.
Slade Cecconi
SP
The right-hander landed on the injured list Aug. 7 due to arm fatigue and was apparently cleared throwing after an MRI came back clean over the weekend. Cecconi hasn't been on the shelf for long, so he may only require one or two appearances in the minor leagues before being cleared to rejoin the big-league roster.
Rhys Hoskins
1B
This was Hoskins' first multi-hit effort since July 20 versus the Twins. The first baseman continues to fill a part-time role, now working as a platoon partner with Nathaniel Lowe, who was acquired from Cincinnati at the trade deadline. Hoskins is batting .183 with a .703 OPS, 13 homers, 38 RBI, 33 runs scored, 13 doubles and a stolen base over 304 plate appearances this season. Considering Hoskins hasn't started against a right-hander since July 23, expect him to be strictly platooned for the remainder of the year.
Colin Holderman
RP
Holderman was removed with two outs in the seventh inning after throwing a wild pitch. He was allowed a few warmup pitches before Guardians manager Stephen Vogt decided to lift him from the game. Vogt classified Holderman's injury as a day-to-day concern following Saturday's contest, but the right-hander will likely be evaluated further before he Guardians decide if he'll require a stint on the injured list. Holderman, who was shut down for six weeks last season due to a similar injury, has been a bright spot in the bullpen in 2026. He holds a 2.39 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 46:17 K:BB over 49 innings and has collected six wins, one save and 10 holds across 49 appearances.
Shawn Armstrong
RP
Armstrong hit the 15-day injured list July 25 due to left calf strain. He won't be eligible to return until Sept. 23, so there's a chance he will not return until the 2027 season.
