Though Martinez will be held out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale versus the Red Sox, the Guardians view the diagnosis as a good outcome for the 24-year-old, who is viewed as day-to-day after exiting Saturday's 9-1 loss early due to the injury. The Guardians haven't ruled out Martinez being available off the bench Sunday, and with an off day on tap Monday, the team is hopeful that he'll be ready to rejoin the starting nine for Tuesday's series opener versus the Yankees.

Steven Kwan

Kwan ended an 0-for-10 run with a second-inning single and then drove in the Guardians' first run in the fifth inning. The multi-hit effort was his first since May 8. In nine games since the slumping Kwan was dropped from the leadoff spot, he's gone 6-for-24 with nine walks, one double and two RBI.

Erik Sabrowski

Sabrowski was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday after not appearing in a game since last week. The Guardians have not provided a timeline as of yet, but the MLB.com indicates a possible return in July. The return timeline could change pending new information in the coming weeks.

Carlos Hernandez

RP

Omaha's game Friday was rained out, but Hernandez should be expected to make a few rehab outings with the club over the next few weeks as he looks to get up to speed. The right-hander missed all of spring training due to a right shoulder impingement.
